Job Description

A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage in Longview, Texas. This city is known for its fine dining and historic downtown, offering enjoyable amenities during your assignment.

Schedule and Responsibilities:

1. Monday through Friday, with a schedule that includes 4 MDs daily and 1:4 med direction (occasionally higher).
2. Beeper call required with a 30-minute response time; CRNAs cover epidurals while MDs handle c-sections and OR cases.
3. Call back occurs about 30% of the time, often until 10 PM.
4. The team comprises approximately 24 CRNAs and 6 MDs.
5. Case mix includes OB (2,100 annually), CV (about 150 annually), pain, eyes, and endo.
6. 16 points of service daily, with 4 located at an ASC.
7. CV and block experience preferred but not required.
8. EMR is currently on paper.
