About the Role - Baker/Pastry Cook (Mid-Level)


The Baker/Pastry Cook (Mid-Level) contributes to the hotel's commitment to provide an exceptional guest experience and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The Baker/Pastry Cook will be responsible for producing high quality and creative baked goods and desserts in an efficient manner. The Baker/Pastry Cook will design, execute and improve recipes and perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products. This role will produce bakery and pastry needs for the hotel restaurants, banquet events and grab-and-go Market, requiring the ability to accommodate special requests. The right candidate will be able to meet the production needs of the operation, demonstrate intermediate piping and basic cake decoration skills, and have intermediate knowledge of bakery and pastry skills. The Baker/Pastry Cook will monitor equipment, ensure proper sanitation and food handling processes are adhered to and maintain temperature logs.

Wage Information:


The hourly rate for this position is $24.50/hr. This is the pay rate for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay.
