Before and After School Counselor

About the Role

Part Time, Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm 

As a Before and After School Counselor at Evergreen Academy, you will play a pivotal role in our daily school life. Your responsibilities include supervising our elementary students during various activities such as indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, and snack times, fostering a safe and educational environment. This role is crucial for maintaining our standard of care and education outside regular school hours, helping students to build relationships, and becoming a key member of our educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Assist students with homework and educational activities, providing guidance and supervision.
• Plan and execute engaging after-school activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play.
• Collaborate with the school team to enhance the student experience and foster a positive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• The ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• A positive, energetic, and patient demeanor, with strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
