Our client, an IT Consulting, and IT Services firm, is seeking a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, will be detail orientated and a team player. The Bookkeeper will be part of a three-person team and will report to the accounting manager. Our client is only seeking candidates in the Central or Eastern time zones. This role is full-time, regular status with benefits and is 100% remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, etc.).
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and summaries.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist in managing the company's cash flow.
  • Track and process employee expenses and reimbursements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist with payroll processing and compliance.
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and employees to resolve financial issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for all financial documents.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory filings as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience working as a bookkeeper, associate’s degree in accounting is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, pivot tables is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience with QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills and a team player mentality.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Able to work independently and self-motivate with a flexible can-do attitude. 
The salary range is based on paying competitively for the size and industry. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. The range shared is for the expectations as laid out in the job description. 

Starting compensation range: $50-$60K
