Job Title: Front-of-House (FOH) Supervisor

Location: New General, Park Avenue District, Winter Park, FL

Position Overview

The FOH Supervisor supports the Shop Manager by overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards of customer experience, and assisting with shop cleanliness and upkeep. This role leads the FOH team, manages shifts, and acts as a bridge between guests and the back-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities

Shift & Team Management

• Supervise and lead FOH team members during shifts, including baristas, hosts, and support staff.
• Assign stations, monitor workflow, and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Train new FOH staff and provide ongoing coaching.
• Support performance management and escalate issues to the Cafe Manager as needed.

Customer Experience

• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by monitoring service quality, speed, and consistency.
• Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and clean environment at all times.

Operational Support & Shop Maintenance

• Assist the Cafe Manager in maintaining the shop, including ensuring FOH cleanliness standards are met.
• Support daily and weekly cleaning tasks, such as wiping surfaces, floors, and seating areas.
• Assist with exterior cleaning and upkeep to maintain a professional and inviting atmosphere.
• Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Shop Manager.

Reporting & Communication

• Communicate FOH needs, challenges, and feedback to the Shop Manager.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, schedules, and team notes.
• Collaborate with BOH leadership to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 23 years FOH supervisory experience in a cafe, coffee bar, or restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for customer service, quality coffee, and food experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
