Job Description:

KSE Global seeks enthusiastic, highly motivated, and responsible camp counselors who will be directly responsible for the well-being of campers at the Princeton Social Science Academy at the Lawrenceville School (PSSA) from July 27th to August 9th, 2025.

PSSA campers are aged 15-19. Counselors are primarily responsible for guiding their assigned group of campers in TA sessions, organizing/executing daily activities, and providing general support as needed. This position is opened to students currently enrolled in college.

Key Expectations:

• Attend staff orientation before camp (exact date TBD)

• Attend all days of camp and post-camp staff meetings during the program duration

• Communicate regularly and effectively with Program Director and professors

• Work closely and harmoniously with other counselors to assist professors and students

• When working with campers, professors, and fellow staff, uphold and implement PSSA values (Personal Growth, Empathy, Respect, and Intellectual Passion)

Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for the physical and mental health and safety of campers

• Keep a record of camper attendance, academic performance, activity, behavior, and injuries/accidents

• Provide academic support for campers throughout the program

• Actively participate in and encourage camper participation in all camp activities

• Provide supervision at all times (e.g. on the bus, during lunch, throughout activity periods, etc.)

• Accommodate campers' dietary restrictions or food allergies (this information will be provided by the Program Director)

• Focus on social dynamics and friendship-building in your assigned camper group

• Act as a mentor to campers as they progress through their individual social-emotional learning journeys

• Be available on-call 24 hours a day to provide immediate assistance and support to students, which may include addressing personal concerns and/or handling emergencies. (Your rest time will be ensured.)

Job Requirements:

• Availability to attend all days of camp

• Must be a current student or recent graduate with social science major

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Prior camp counselor experience preferred

• Prior teaching assistant (TA) experience preferred

• Patience, enthusiasm, meticulousness, and caring are necessary personality traits

Compensation:

Camp Counselors will be paid $1000 USD per week.

Meals/Accommodation:

The PSSA provides free daily meals and housing for all Camp Counselors. All Camp Counselors MUST live in their assigned dormitory and attend meals with students. More details will be share during the interview process.
