About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Education and Human Sciences. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in a relevant discipline, holding an earned doctorate or terminal degree, and with a proven record of scholarly achievement. The Dean will be responsible for the overall academic and administrative leadership of the College, which includes multiple academic schools, research centers, and a service-learning unit. Key responsibilities for the Dean include strategic management, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and engaging in public policy related to education, health, and human services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse disciplines within the College and a commitment to the well-being and development of individuals across the lifespan. Administrative experience in a comprehensive research university or equivalent, as well as a strong track record in fundraising and attracting external funding, are essential. Candidates for the Dean position at the company should have a strong commitment to the values of a modern land-grant university, including collaboration with the Cooperative Extension Service. The role requires a leader who can inspire others, promote ethical behavior, and social responsibility, and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
