About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join a patient-focused dental practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the dentist and clinical team to deliver exceptional oral healthcare and education. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and proficiency with clinical dental hygiene procedures and technology.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform professional dental hygiene services, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth.
Operate GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) equipment as needed.
Apply fluoride, sealants, and other preventive treatments according to clinical protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Record and update patient medical and dental histories accurately.
Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA , OSHA , and infection control standards.
Assist in managing clinical inventory and supplies.
Collaborate with the dentist and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Professional, clean, and well-equipped dental setting.
Regular use of dental instruments, computers, and x-ray equipment.
Adherence to infection control and safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
Frequent standing, walking, and manual work using dental instruments.
Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs as needed.
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials (OSHA training required).
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Dental Hygienist .
Proficiency with GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) equipment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clinical standards.
High school diploma or equivalent .
Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program .
Active Dental Hygienist License (Texas or eligible for reciprocity).
Current CPR certification .
