We are seeking a Dental Practice Manager to lead and coordinate operations across our dental clinics. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for providing leadership in planning, guiding, and coordinating practice operations for HealthFirst Bluegrass dental clinics, provide day-to-day supervision of assigned staff, and ensure operational excellence by collaborating on department wide and organizational wide improvement that is aligned with the organization’s vision, mission and strategic goals utilizing HealthFirst’s Management system and tools.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible to monitor, mentor and train staff while promoting team building and a positive work environment. Will interview, hire, assign, direct and evaluate performance and conduct corrective action as necessary. Will maximize employee performance through development, goal setting, and regular constructive feedback. Will lead regular team meetings to collaborate, plan and prioritize. This position directly supervises Dental Assistants; will assist the Chief Dental Officer with supervisory tasks for dentists and hygienists.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three + years experience in a dental clinic, with at least 1 year of direct supervisory experience. Proven success implementing continuous improvement principles and methodology.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
This position requires knowledge of dental clinic practices. Must have effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and intermediate computer literacy. Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations governing dental clinics and related programs. Knowledge and ability to apply principles of management to provider support operations. Skills required in management, formal presentations, use and promotion of teamwork and team management. Ability to successfully collaborate across all inter-department levels and execute plans to achieve organizational success.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Incumbent must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Incumbent must possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Incumbent must possess the ability to solve practical problems and must have the ability to understand established systems and processes to assure the unit adheres to established processes. Incumbent must possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Predominantly sedentary; some repetitive hand movements via keyboard; light lifting up to 5 lbs; occasional bending and lifting; near vision acuity; hear and understand spoken communication, speak clearly so others understand.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is primarily in clinic or office environment; noise levels are moderate. Frequent interaction with clinic visitors, clients, patients. May be exposed to sick/ill patients. Occasional travel between worksites. Minimal weekend or overtime work. May require occasional PPE.
