Job Title: Dental Practice Manager Department: Operations Reports to: President FLSA Status: Exempt Compensation: $67,000 - $75,000 per year. What we are offering: PTO: 1.54 hours accrued for every 40 hours worked Sick Leave : 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked maxing at 40 hours per year. Position Summary The Dental Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dental practice. Responsible for overseeing administrative tasks, financial management, and staff coordination, the Dental Practice Manager services as a central point of contact for both internal team members and external stakeholders. This role involves managing schedules, handling patient inquiries, maintaining records, and implementing office policies and procedures. The Dental Practice Manager also collaborates with dentists and other staff to optimize patient care delivery and enhance the overall patient experience. Exceptional organizational, communication, and strong leadership skills are essential for success in this role. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage daily office operations, including patient scheduling, billing, and office maintenance. Oversee administrative staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Act as a liaison between the office and corporate leadership. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements. Handle patient inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly. Coordinate staff schedules. Optimize patient flow and scheduling efficiency in collaboration with dental professionals. Monitor expenses, maintain collection controls, and oversee daily deposits. Implement and maintain office policies and procedures. Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records. Conduct staff meetings, provide training, and foster a positive work environment. Supervise treatment support systems and patient flow sequencing. Manage inventory levels and order office supplies as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the practice and organization. Expected Competencies Strong customer service orientation towards patients and staff. Easily able to learn new technologies and systems as required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to review critical issues, effectively solve problems and create action plans. Ability to develop and implement new approaches to improve processes, procedures and the general work environment. Excellent organization, prioritization, follow up, analytical and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information. Qualifications 5+ years’ work experience in a dental or medical office with at least 1+ years as supervisor or management level with direct reports required High School diploma or GED required Easily able to learn new technologies and systems required. Denticon experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Requires some flexibility in scheduling. Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel required Strong customer service orientation towards patients and staff.
