Job Description

Macdonald & Company are proud to be working with a leading industrial real estate investment and development firm known for its robust portfolio of logistics and distribution assets .

The Director of Property Management will oversee the strategic management of a diverse industrial property portfolio, focusing on maintaining optimal operations, tenant satisfaction, and asset performance.

This is a pivotal role for an experienced property management professional to lead a small, dynamic team while driving efficiencies and long-term value across a growing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of a portfolio of industrial properties, ensuring high standards of operations and tenant satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of two Assistant Property Managers, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategic property management plans in alignment with the company’s investment goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis, working closely with accounting and finance teams.
  • Manage tenant relationships, addressing any operational concerns and maintaining high levels of tenant retention.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repair, and capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with leasing teams to support tenant acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to ensure the portfolio remains competitive.
  • Prepare and present property performance reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of property management experience, with a focus on industrial assets.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing a small team of property managers or support staff.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster tenant and team relationships.
  • Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple properties simultaneously.
