POSITION PURPOSE : To transport adolescents and adults (ages 13 - 99) with direct supervision and to always obey all traffic laws. Assist in the direct care and management of child, adolescents and adults (ages 4 to 99) and to provide supervision, safety and crisis management for client population.

QUALIFICATIONS :
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Current Texas driver's license; good verbal and written skills; high school graduate or equivalent; must be 18 years of age; ability to drive a 15 passenger van and car. CPR certification. Knowledge of the City.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Texas driver's license.
EXPERIENCE: One year of experience as a Mental Health Worker preferred with adolescents (ages 12-18) or child or adult.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* 80% - 90% of the time, the incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working with the patient/residents.
QUALIFICATIONS : Continued
* Requires full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patient/residents.
* Ability to perform CPR.
* Ability to work split shifts.
* Emotional stability necessary to perform essential functions.
* Vision and hearing sufficient to perform essential functions.
* Ability to drive a vehicle.
* Ability to speak and write.
