We are looking for an Infrastructure Administrator (IA) to join our Operational Technology (OT) Team to design, configure, administer, and secure the GLWA process control systems. Our talented team consists of highly dedicated Infrastructure Administrators, Engineers, and Technicians that work closely together to ensure that the process control systems are available, reliable, secure, and continuously improving. The OT Infrastructure Administrator is a multifaceted interdisciplinary position that plays a critical role throughout the lifecycle of the OT systems at GLWA. Participatory roles include planning, design, installation, maintenance, system administration, network operations, and cybersecurity operations. Infrastructure Administrator promotes effective teamwork, demonstrates continuous learning, and encourages innovation in others. Responsible and accountable for delivering high standards of work quality and organizational performance. Demonstrate strategic planning and time management. Participate in the development, recommendation, and administration of GLWA-OT policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities Require the mental and/or physical ability to work in a standard office environment Read fine print on blueprints and display terminals Converse by telephone, two-way radio and in person using writing instruments, calculators, and personal computers; and strength to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to distinguish colors and to hear audible alarms Provide solutions and recommendations which integrate with current and future database, application and infrastructure architectures Responsible for capacity planning and management, security planning and management, data management, systems maintenance, and performance management of one or more systems Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the system and infrastructure Administer, maintain, and support GLWA's network and system infrastructure and security including installation, documentation, administration and maintenance activities Review all technical network and system designs and ensure that they meet business and technical requirements, and GLWA network and system infrastructure and enterprise IT standards Plan, design, and implement additions, upgrades, replacements, or retirement of network and communications IT infrastructure Perform new software releases and upgrades; evaluate and install patches and resolve network and communications hardware and software related problems Determine requirements; design, install, and maintain network and communications infrastructure Provide technical support resolving incidents, including creating and closing tickets Plan, design, and implement additions, upgrades, replacements, or retirements of network and communications IT infrastructure Ensure adherence to network security and IT standards and procedures Document system problems and resolutions for future reference Provide on the job training Required Education and Experience At the time of application: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Service Desk Analyst, IT Systems or Network Administrator; or combination of related work experience and education Possess a technology-specific entry level certification (i.e. Comp TIA Networking+, Storage+ or Server+) Other Requirements A valid Michigan Driver License and the ability to drive a motor vehicle on all terrain Ability to work irregular hours, to commute to GLWA facilities and work sites Benefits Comprehensive benefits package effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
