Job Description

Our client in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, lab skills and trainability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Evansville IN
Pay Range: $21.50 - $23 hourly
Contract: Long term/conversion to permanent possible
Shift: M - F: 8a - 4:30p (flexible on start time up to 9am)
Overtime Weekend Hours available but NOT required (paid time and a half)

Job Duties:

Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.
Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and utilizing accepted laboratory techniques.
Operate laboratory instruments.
Perform duties required in the routine maintenance of a safe and appropriate laboratory environment which is compliant with company and regulatory standards.
Maintain current, complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.) - OR - Equivalent Lab experience and skills will also be considered.
Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience using Microsoft based computer applications a must.
Familiarity with ion chromatography, ICP, mass spectrometry detection and laboratory information management computer systems a plus but not required.
