Verstela is seeking reliable and hardworking Material Handlers to join our network of talented professionals for a variety of light industrial positions with our diverse clients. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement, organization, and inventory control of materials within different work environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various tasks and work settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Movement: Safely and efficiently move, load, and unload materials, products, and supplies within warehouse or production facilities.
• Inventory Control: Assist with tracking inventory, restocking shelves, and reporting discrepancies to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Order Fulfillment: Prepare materials for orders by selecting, packaging, and staging products for shipping or assembly.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (if certified) to move materials across different areas of the facility.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for damage or defects and report issues to the supervisor or team lead.
• Workplace Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper handling and storage of materials.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other team members to ensure materials are readily available for production and shipping needs.
• Adaptability: Take on various tasks across different work environments (e.g., warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers) depending on client needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous Experience: Experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Equipment Knowledge: Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus (certifications a bonus).
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy.
• Safety Consciousness: Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in industrial or warehouse environments.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in different environments and take on new tasks as needed.
