SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Our team is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for a results-oriented Loan Originator. The right candidate will generate new business and referrals, as well as maintain the excellent relationships we have already established with clients and referral partners. The ideal candidate will be able to assist our team in closing loan packages while maintaining an excellent level of service and communication with our clients. Lending or mortgage industry experience is required. You must have strong organizational skills and superb customer service, and communication skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. loan officer assistant, loan opener, loan processor, underwriter, referral partners, escrow, title, etc.) on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully
  • Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations/SLAs, get referrals, and generate new business opportunities
  • Create personal relationships with clients - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
  • Create and explain coach mortgage presentations for clients (total cost analyses)
  • Package files to send to the loan openers/processing staff
  • Lock loans, structure files, and review final closing disclosures (CDs) with clients

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 1+ year of experience as a mortgage loan originator
  • Licensure with the NMLS in NV and UT
  • Experience with Encompass
  • Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
  • Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
  • Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator
  • Licensure with the NMLS in NV, UT and any other states
  • Experience with Encompass, Simple Nexus, Optimal Blue, and Mortgage Coach
  • Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
  • Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
  • Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans
