An active family in Jupiter, FL area seeks a highly skilled and experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to provide exceptional care for their preschool aged child while assisting with various household tasks. This is a full-time, live-out position with a general schedule of Tuesday to Saturday, approximately 10 AM – 6 PM. However, flexibility is essential to accommodate ever changing schedules as well as a willingness and ability to travel frequently (internationally and domestically) and work longer days and full weekends as needed is required. The ideal candidate is intuitive, proactive, highly adaptable, enjoys variety, and travel. Someone who can seamlessly transition between engaging the child in activities to working behind the scenes to support the family and household will do well in this role. The family values a calm yet energetic professional who thrives in a dynamic household and is adept at balancing open communication with a keen sense of timing for when to offer support, engage in conversation, and when to give space. This candidate must excel at anticipating needs, be skilled at organization, and value tidiness. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide exceptional care for a preschool-aged child Design and engage in age-appropriate developmental activities Coordinate activities and playdates Pick child up from school as needed Prepare occasional meals for the child Assist the child with their bedtime routine and while parents are out for the evening (approximately one night per week) Research, order, and manage inventory of the child’s clothing, shoes, toiletries, and other necessities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the child’s spaces (e.g., playroom, bedroom, outdoor play areas, backpack, etc.) Regularly clean out playroom and child’s room donating or storing items as directed Load/unload dishwasher Tidy and organize communal living areas (family room, living room, kitchen) daily Tidy and prepare outdoor spaces prior to guest arrival when entertaining outdoors and as needed (wipe down playground, vacuum outdoor furniture, set-up/store outdoor toys, bring out pool towels, etc.) Launder used pool and bath towels as needed, assist with child’s laundry, and other occasional light laundering requests Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, gift purchasing, post office runs, and in-store and online shopping returns Assist with miscellaneous household tasks and projects (e.g., wrapping presents, buying and arranging fresh flowers, setting up/taking down Holiday decorations, etc.) Open mail and packages as directed and break down boxes Assist in planning and researching birthday parties and special events Arrange for cars to be washed and fueled as needed Travel with the family domestically and internationally approximately 10 weeks per year Research and organize activities in advance of and during travel and assist with travel-related tasks Pack and unpack the child’s luggage Assist with loading/unloading and packing/unpacking luggage before and after trips Maintain open communication with the principals Additional Nanny/Family Assistant responsibilities as needed and requested by the principals Requirements: Fluent in English; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a similar role with a private family Excellent references required from both current and previous employers Comfortable assisting with both childcare, family assistant needs, and light housekeeping Flexible to evolving needs Ability to adapt quickly Intuitive and proactive; able to anticipate needs and take initiative Strong problem-solving skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to accommodate shifting schedules, as needed, including full travel weeks Valid Driver’s License REQUIRED Valid Passport REQUIRED; willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally with the family as needed Authorized to work within the United States Employment type Full-time Job function Other Industries Household Services #J-18808-Ljbffr Hire Society
