POSITION SUMMARY

This employee is required to deliver of a variety of spa services utilizing a variety of spa modalities (body treatments, massages) in a safe and comfortable manner with old world hospitality and charm.

From $37 to $49 per hour plus gratuity while services are being provided.
(Paid training & wait time between services start at $15.50)

+ $22.00-$29.00 flat rate commission
+ Weekend differential of $7 per service.
+ 20% recommended gratuity

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all- inclusive:
  • Perform procedures such as massages and body treatments
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of massage modalities and a general understanding of body treatments
  • Perform consultations with clients regarding symptoms, medical history, and desired results
  • Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body
  • Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body
  • Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture
  • Document guest's condition and progress
  • Perform all services in accordance with del Lago standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide appropriate and consistent levels of guest service and hospitality
  • Knowledge of all product information used during guest services
  • Participate in individual home spa product sales with every guest
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Spa and Salon industry trends
  • Attend and fully participate in all mandatory trainings and meetings
  • Complete daily tasks at request of management
  • Ensure all treatment areas are clean and neat in accordance with department standards.
  • Ensure all treatment areas are properly stocked in accordance with department standards.
  • Display a professional and cooperative demeanor in all interactions with department staff, other del Lago employees, vendors, and guests
  • Maintain knowledge of company and property
  • ability to share this knowledge with guests
  • Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS

Must have ability to:
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts.
  • Required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently
  • Required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Extended time seated as well as on your feet
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Current NYS License/Registration in Massage Therapy. One year experience in a luxury resort or luxury spa setting. Proficient in all aspects of spa treatments and modalities with a general knowledge of body treatments. Excellent personal presentation, good communication skills and a friendly, caring personality. The ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced service environment while maintaining composure and focus on guest service.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
  • Obtain required licenses
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Responsible to taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
  • Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department
  • Adhere to Internal Control Procedures and Policies
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
