Job Title: Parts Manager
Location: Peotter's Auto Body
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Parts Manager to oversee our parts department at a large auto body shop . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ordering parts, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring a smooth workflow between the parts department and repair technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of automotive parts and supplies.
  • Order and receive parts, ensuring timely availability for repairs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and availability.
  • Work closely with service and repair teams to coordinate the timely delivery of parts.
  • Monitor stock levels and implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage parts department staff, including training and scheduling.
  • Ensure all parts are properly labeled, stored, and accounted for.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and warranty claims efficiently.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and new product offerings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar role within an auto body shop or dealership.
  • Strong knowledge of auto parts, suppliers, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ordering systems.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
