The Parts Manager is a dedicated and highly organized professional responsible for managing all aspects related to parts, equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the service business by maintaining an efficient and well-stocked inventory. The Parts Manager must exhibit strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of organization and efficiency. Reporting to the Director, the Parts Manager plays a vital role in supporting the service team and contributing to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Parts and Equipment Management:
· Order, stock, and maintain all necessary parts and equipment required for the service business.
· Ensure timely and accurate ordering of parts to prevent service delays and maintain operational efficiency.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable deals and secure high-quality parts at competitive prices.
· Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
2. Warehouse Management:
· Oversee the organization and maintenance of the parts room and warehouse, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
· Implement and maintain a systematic approach to inventory management, including labeling, shelving, and cataloging parts.
· Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
· Coordinate with the service team to ensure the timely availability of parts and equipment for scheduled repairs and maintenance.
· Manage and maintain proper service for all employee service vehicles.
· Implement and maintain standards for proper maintenance on all service vehicles
3. Inventory Control and Reporting:
· Manage inventory records and maintain accurate documentation of all parts and equipment transactions.
· Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, usage, and turnover to the Director of Espresso Plus.
· Identify and address any inventory issues promptly to avoid disruptions in service operations.
· Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory data for informed decision-making.
4. Team Collaboration and Support:
· Work closely with the customer service and service team to understand their parts and equipment needs and provide necessary support.
· Communicate effectively with technicians and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely availability of parts.
· Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to ensure seamless coordination of resources for efficient service delivery.
· Provide training and guidance to team members on inventory management practices and procedures.
5. Vendor Relations and Negotiations:
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
· Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost savings and ensure a reliable supply of parts and equipment.
· Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
