Patent Administrator - Part-Time Remote Position

Company Description Stevens Patent Law is a boutique patent firm serving a diverse clientele including individual inventors, companies, and international clients seeking U.S. and foreign patent protection. We specialize in utility and design patents with particular expertise in computer and electronic technologies.

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Patent Administrator for a part-time, 100% remote position. This role is essential to our operations, supporting our team in delivering high-quality patent services to our varied client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare patent applications for filing with the USPTO and international patent offices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patent prosecution records and client files
  • Coordinate patent filing deadlines and ensure timely submissions
  • Assist with patent application preparation and documentation
  • Support international patent filing procedures and coordinate with foreign associates
  • Maintain organized electronic filing systems and databases
  • Communicate with clients, patent examiners, and international partners as needed
  • Assist with patent portfolio management and tracking

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in patent applications and patent preparation processes
  • Strong understanding of patent law concepts and USPTO procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in patent administration or similar IP role
