Skills / Experience Required:

• Knowing primary/permanent and ortho teeth numbers
• Identifying tooth surfaces
• Demonstrate knowledge of fact cards/handouts
• Demonstrate knowledge of consent forms/post op forms
• Understanding of patient routing & checkout sheet
• Understanding of patient checklist
• Knowledge of Pediatric procedures that are done in the office
• Taking impressions
• Pouring models

Sterilization:

• Understanding OSHA Regulations
• Complete chair sterilization + turn over
• Learning instruments
• Learning sterilization order of operations
• Learning packaging of instruments
• Cleaning impression trays
• Ultrasonic + Sterilizer "how to use"

Radiology:

• Bitewings
• Anterior upper arch/lower arch PA
• Posterior PA
• Panorex
• Upload pics to patient chart
• Uploading Pano to patient’s chart
• Able to stock inventory in correct locations in the office (with direction from senior assistant)

Chairside:

• Operate Nitrous oxide
• Set-up for prophy
• Perform a prophy
• Complete appointments in 30min
• Enter notes in Patient Management System

Ortho:

• Refer to Orthodontics and make Ortho chart
• Taking & printing out new patient picture with Doctor
• Taking Ortho photo records
• Uploading ortho photo records

Independent Judgement:

• Greet and Seat a Patient with professionalism
• Professional interpersonal relationships with colleagues
• High level of Professionalism with Staff and Patients

Education:

• CPR
• Dental Assistant School graduate (preferred but not required)
