Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years!   Integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.  Our advanced hospital will offer 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking a Pharmacist (Full-Time)

Our ideal candidate will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling, the filling of medication orders, monitoring drug therapies and provide drug education, Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patients drug therapies and provide drug information. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) preferred    
• Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in the District of Columbia
• Minimum of five years' experience

• Effective interpersonal skills  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality  
• Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities  
• Knowledgeable of and complies with laws, rules and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy  
• Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis Reports (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
