Job Description

The Alexandria VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time, BC/BE, Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physician to serve as a member of its Primary Care Team in Jennings, LA. Founded as a railroad depot midway between the larger cities of Lafayette and Lake Charles, Jennings offers a rich Cajun heritage with local restaurants, music venues, festivals, birding, hunting, water sports, and unique downtown attractions. Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and health of our veterans. The Alexandria VA Health Care System is dedicated to providing top-quality medical care to America's Veterans.

Highlights of this position include:

Competitive Starting Salary: $240,000-$250,000
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm
Telehealth eligible (virtual visits via video, remote care by telephone)
Provide care to approximately 12-20 outpatients daily in an outpatient setting
Responsible for all facets of acute patient care
Assist in completing quality management reviews
Responsible for achieving applicable Performance Measures and Monitors
Participate in peer review process and complete Physician's reviews on time

Additional Requirements:

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Experience in Primary Care
Must be a U.S. Citizen; non-Citizens considered if no U.S. Citizen is found
Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

Annual performance bonus up to $15K
