Description
+ Represents the college, and specifically the culinary and hospitality programs at recruitment events
+ Responsible for facilitating targeted outreach efforts to support the departments enrollment goals
+ Serves on project teams that enhance the development of internal processes that impact student recruitment, admission and retention
+ Maintains knowledge of ACA and hospitality programs, and can discuss the details of those programs to prospective students and families
+ Develops relationships with high school guidance staff, teachers, community leaders, and businesses
+ Visits high schools, vocational schools, culinary shows, community events and other potential recruitment locations, providing information on culinary and hospitality programs at Atlantic Cape
+ Works with the Director, and with the Senior Manager of Early College Programs to promote articulation agreements with participating schools
+ Assists with new student on-boarding and culinary/hospitality office operation as needed
+ Works with Enrollment Services at College Open House at all locations including providing tours and/or performing culinary demonstrations for potential student groups as needed
+ Maintains accurate student records and communications
+ Follows up with prospective students to complete application files
+ Assists applicants through the enrollment process
+ Performs related duties as assigned
Examples of Duties
Education:
Associates degree with experience working in culinary, hospitality or sales
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience:
+ Experience working in culinary, hospitality and/or sales
+ Recruitment experience preferred
+ Experience working with Ellucians Colleague management information system and Recruit software a plus
Competencies and Skills:
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Ability to work independently
+ Ability to make oral presentations to individuals, small groups, and large audiences.
Typical Qualifications
Terms of Employment:
+ This position requires a valid New Jersey drivers license and reliable transportation and is available for flexible scheduling to include evenings, weekends, possible overnight assignments, and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law
Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP) (
Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension ( . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
