Job Description
Salary: $65 / Hour
The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) is responsible for the mental and physical well-being of the community by ensuring the public's health through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and education. They can work in a variety of institutions such as the community, hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities while collaborating with state regulators, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to keep the community safe and healthy.
We are looking for Nurses interested in working with communicable diseases over the next year. This will be a community based role focused in school settings as well as some remote work.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Active Nursing Licensure in the state practicing
+ Two (2) years of public health or community experience
+ Strong background/experience in communicable disease control efforts
+ Strong communication/phone interviewing skills
+ Experience with case management and contact tracing
+ Ability to easily document in a web-based platform
+ Experience working with medical data and records?
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Must have clean driving history
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
