Position Overview:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements. This role is key to driving continuous improvement, managing audits, and developing a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Quality Department, including Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and support staff.
  • Maintain and continually improve the AS9100-compliant Quality Management System.
  • Oversee internal, external, and customer audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
  • Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102.
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop training programs to improve quality awareness across the company.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics (scrap, rework, customer returns, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of quality experience in aerospace or precision machining.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience leading audits and interfacing with customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology, and inspection techniques.
  • Proficient with quality software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Certification such as ASQ CQE or CQM/OE preferred but not required.
