ob Title: R&D Scientist

Location: Cincinnati, OH – 45237

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $24 to $28/hr on W2

Position Overview:

The R&D Scientist will support pharmaceutical development through routine analytical testing of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples. This role involves using a variety of analytical techniques and requires strict adherence to GMP/GLP standards and laboratory safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical and physical testing using compendial and in-house developed methods.
  • Analyze pharmaceutical raw materials, finished goods, and stability samples.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, pH meters, titrators, balances).
  • Accurately document and report test results in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain lab instruments, supplies, and workspace.
  • Follow all safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a physical science, preferably Chemistry.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear a respirator (no facial hair permitted).
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with HPLC is required .
  • Exposure to general instrumentation (HPLC, GC, titrations, wet chemistry, pH meters, balances).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and eagerness to learn and follow established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or academic lab work involving analytical chemistry.
  • 1–2 years of experience with chromatographic testing methods.
