Position Description: The Manager I (MGRI) position plays a vital role in supporting Branch management with the tactical execution of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or similar operations. The MGRI is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant is clean, fully prepared for business, properly staffed, and consistently meets high operational standards. Utilizing established policies and procedures, the MGRI makes informed management decisions to enhance both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Position Responsibilities: \tExecute opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists to ensure compliance with company standards.
\tSupport the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and General Manager (GM) by overseeing daily activities of restaurant associates, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
\tEngage in the hiring process by providing insights on candidates, contributing to promotions, and recommending changes in status for team members.
\tAssign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are adequately staffed, prioritizing a seamless operational flow.
\tChampion employee well-being by ensuring all associates take mandated breaks and meal periods.
\tMaintain visually appealing and well-stocked display areas that enhance the dining experience.
\tEnsure all equipment is maintained in top condition for optimal performance.
\tHandle cash register operations, including transaction voids, in strict accordance with HMSHost cash handling policies, ensuring the security of cash at all times.
\tMonitor compliance with wellness and safety protocols, fostering awareness among associates, and reporting any safety concerns to the GM.
\tExecute all Health and Safety activities as outlined in the Managers Guide to Associate Health and Safety.
\tManage inventory by placing orders, receiving goods, and processing invoices efficiently.
\tMaintain up-to-date contact information for all associates working in the restaurant.
Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and involves physical activity, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds. Candidates must be capable of performing these physical demands to ensure the efficient operation of our team and to provide excellent service. Additional Information: \tThis position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
\tYou will report to the General Manager, Director of Operations, or a Multi-Unit Manager II, depending on your location.
\tA varied and rotating schedule is expected to ensure your presence during different operating hours and days, allowing you to oversee and guide associates effectively.
