As a Security Officer - Government Site - Access Control in Amenia, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a prominent government location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the location.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual conditions.
• Assist visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and provide directions as needed.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities as required by site-specific procedures.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
