Senior Program Underwriter - Middle Market

Property and Casualty Insurance Industry

Remote - Somerset, NJ Office Location

Are you an energetic, well-versed Program Portfolio Underwriter who is looking for an opportunity to join a well-funded new insurance carrier that will be writing both admitted and non-admitted business in 50 states? You would join an incredibly talented and experienced operating team and be instrumental in growing the business and be appropriately rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Support the carrier review and oversight of various MGA-written insurance programs across an array of insurance lines.
• Handle basic underwriting referrals on a one-off basis.
• Work with actuarial and program management in the evaluation of program performance and work to establish measurable action plans for improvement where needed.
• Participate in the performance and documentation of audits of program administrators.
• Establish clear underwriting guidelines for assigned programs and represent the company's interests in managing day-to-day interaction with MGA underwriters.
