We are looking for a Social Media Copywriter for a 1 year contract who is comfortable commuting to Culver City 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Craft compelling copy for various social media platforms focused on music and original content.
• Develop tailored copy for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat.
• Utilize audience engagement strategies to select impactful story angles.
• Collaborate with teams to create strategic plans for audience outreach.
• Analyze performance data to optimize copy effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends to inform writing efforts.
• Effectively convey brand and artist voice through written content.
• Create engaging product notes and music feature copy for our platform.
• Ensure inclusivity in writing that represents diverse audiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a music writer/editor for recognized brands.
• Proven ability to write/edit music-related social media content.
• Strong understanding of storytelling techniques and audience engagement.
• Adept at working quickly to produce timely content.
• Keen knowledge of artist marketing strategies.
• An analytical mindset to visualize insights from data.
• A deep understanding of music culture and ability to represent brand voice effectively.
