CSRA State and Local Solutions LLC has an opening for the position of Systems Engineering Senior (Ref# SES33SM) .

Work Location: 327 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144. Position may telecommute/work remotely 3 days/week.

Job Duties: Administer a wide variety of middleware components in a 24/7/365 high availability client environment. Responsible for production support including systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and triage. Install, configure, and maintain the WebSphere family of middleware infrastructure. Install, configure, and maintain the JBoss and Apache/Tomcat family of products. Responsible for team scheduling to ensure balanced coverage, developing a work plan for environment maintenance and upgrades, performance monitoring and reporting, and creating an environment of continuous improvement. Responsible for leading technical operations for a 365x24x7 multi-tiered system and SLA (Service Layer Agreements) compliance. Understand business scenarios and implement solutions to meet operational and business requirements. Ensure installation, configurations, and maintenance procedures of all changes to JBoss and Apache/Tomcat infrastructure listed are of the highest quality and capable of meeting all client SLAs. Review changes for operational compliance and create standards. Perform moderately complex systems and database administration. Monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance. Responsible for appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages. Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyze capacity data and develop capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Work with subject-matter experts (SMEs) in other teams to resolve critical production issues and implement changes. Support upgrades and updates. Package, deploy applications, migrate, performance tune, troubleshoot and resolve application services, maintain security, and automate routine procedures through scripting. Lead and apply appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity. Develop and maintain appropriate system documentation. Use of WebSphere, JBoss, MuleSoft, OpenText, Apache, IBM Server, IIS, Tomcat, Python, Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, Site24x7, ServiceNow, Shell Scripts, UNIX, Linux, SendGrid, Twilio, and Contentstack.

Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years in a related occupation including Systems Analyst, Middleware Specialist, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with production support, administering middleware components, and using WebSphere, JBoss, MuleSoft, OpenText, Apache, IBM Server, IIS, Tomcat, Python, Jenkins, Splunk, ServiceNow, Shell Scripts, UNIX, and Linux. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.

Salary: $135,699/year

The likely salary range for this position is $115,344 - $156,054. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
