Anders Group is seeking a travel nurse RN First Assist for a travel nursing job in Norfolk, Virginia.

PEDIATRIC TEACHING HOSPITAL

 

They would work four weekdays out of the week (40 hours) and be on a rotating call schedule consisting of weekdays (1730 0700) and weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).

RNFA- Graduate of an RNFA program accredited by the certification board for perioperative nursing
3 years of experience in perioperative setting
CNOR certification

PALS
Ability to scrub and circulate is necessary.
2 years hands on pediatric knowledge and skill
1 year of experience in cardiothoracic operative nursing preferred

THE RNFA works in collaboration with surgeons and healthcare team members to facilitate optimal outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures. RN practicing as first assistants in surgery are functioning in an expanded perioperative nursing role.
Provides developmentally appropriate patient care using the nursing process under the direct supervision of the surgeon and applies knowledge, skills and critical thinking necessary to assist in performing a safe operation.
Develops an individualized nursing plan of care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice and AORN standards.
