About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy to spearhead the development and execution of strategies that will advance the company's public policy agenda. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and growing a corporate government relations function and team, with a focus on building the company's presence as a thought leader in the policy and political spheres. This role involves establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with key business partners, government officials, and other stakeholders to support the company's business objectives. The Vice President will also be tasked with managing a high-performance team, overseeing the government affairs budget, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Applicants for the Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 15 years' of experience in government affairs, preferably with a background in the data storage industry or technology sector. The role requires a candidate with a strong network of bipartisan relationships in Washington, D.C., and a proven ability to influence and advocate for the company's interests. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes, as well as the ability to integrate public policy with business strategy.
