General Summary The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating visual displays within the store of new and existing products and providing a pleasant shopping experience for customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Visual Merchandising Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy. Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store. Produce end cap displays, aisle displays, interior displays, exterior displays, and special promotions displays. Identify key messages and set a clear image of the end result. Come up with, revise and present design ideas with General Manager and/or Home & Gift Lead Buyer. Monitor costs and work within budget. Oversee the production and brief staff on arranging displays. Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes. Keep merchandise stocked, fronted and faced, and dusted. Update promotional sign packages as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Customer Service Project a positive representation. Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store. Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates. Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently. Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively. Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance. Continually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location. Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise. Requirements Proven work experience as a Visual Merchandiser or Visual Manager. Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio. Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including interior/exterior displays and space utilization. Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices. Proficiency in MS Office. Creative and innovative thinker. Ability to analyze sales merchandising reports and survey results. Physical Demands Standing, walking, lifting (up to25 lbs), climbing Time Commitment Options - Full Time or Part Time Available! Part Time Requires one of the following: Work both Saturday and Sunday - 16 hours OR Work (5) 4 hour weekday afternoon/evening shifts - 20 hours Overtime is paid on more than 8 hours in a day Benefits 401k with company match.
