Fabricates and weld parts, tools, and equipment based upon the requirements of Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician include but not limited to the following: Fabrication, and repair of production equipment and parts Responsible for ordering parts and materials needed for repairs, projects and to maintain relevant inventory. Supports assigned projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, material properties and mathematics. Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specification Helps engineering with feedback on their designs and drawings. Responsible for the equipment and environmental conditions in the workshop. Works follows assigned work orders, closes them. Maintains a safe work environment Other duties as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency in Welding Processes, must be able to weld steel and stainless steel. Proficiency in fabrication tools and equipment. Ability to design parts and equipment without engineering drawings Must be able to read and interpret blueprints Must be physically able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions. Must be Fork Lift and loader certified or capable to be certified. Must be willing to work overtime. Must be willing to work weekends if needed. Must be willing to work a set schedule.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma required
• Trade/Technical schooling (preferred but not required)

LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.

OTHER DESIRED SKILLS

• Welding of aluminum, TIG processes
• Knowledge/proficiency with machining equipment (lathes, mills)
• Computer Aided Design software (CAD
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Knowledge Lean Manufacturing
