Job Description

IT Business Analyst

Founded on the principles of trust and reliability, we approach every challenge with a fighting spirit and the resolve required to redefine the standard for excellence. Our team is composed of senior executives with deep experience in Technology and Operations with wide industry knowledge. Simply put, our advisors supercharge transformation and right-structuring.

Think Consulting is looking for passionate, creative, and decisive professionals with excellent communication and people skills to join our team. Think's team members embody our core values by delivering measurable results that leave clients in a better position than where we met them.

The Opportunity

As a Business Analyst reporting to Service Delivery Leadership, you will learn and institute the principles of Think's methodology in Bare Knuckled Project Management. You have the responsibility to gather and define business requirements, data validation and analysis, identifying, documenting and testing system and process changes, and conducting gap analysis. You'll serve a variety of clients spanning many industries, often wearing multiple hats. You'll be unafraid to fail forward, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and will always find a way to exceed expectations. You'll be supported by a talented team of professionals and the work you do will directly contribute to the success of Think and our partners.

How You'll Contribute

  • Work remotely and on-site with client project teams to elicit and define the scope and objectives of their projects and document requirements
  • Develop, document, and refine business requirements to improve and streamline business processes, increasing productivity
  • Develop, document, and refine business use cases
  • Where applicable, build test scripts
  • Responsible for requirements analysis and prioritization based on project objectives
  • Isolate, document, and report issues, defects and fixes
  • Assist with full life-cycle solution testing
  • Function as a utility player – your role and responsibilities will evolve to support the needs and success of the Consulting group and you'll play an integral role in that evolution

Your Impact at Think

  • You'll utilize your full arsenal of analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to drive a deep understanding of client challenges and opportunities
  • Your story-telling prowess will be on display as you craft presentations that highlight compelling calls to action
  • You'll improve team efficiencies through the documentation of detailed business and functional requirements, including documentation of end-to-end business process flows and use cases
  • You'll drive stellar customer experiences by ensuring the solutions we build meet the business requirements we documented and communicating how requirements will be met

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Computer Science/Business Systems or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience with requirements documentation, requirements traceability, test scenario documentation, and test results validation
  • Experience with business tools such as Jira, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Excel, and project management tools strongly preferred

What You'll Get at Think

Think offers a fully remote working environment for all employees, with the potential for occasional travel to client sites when required. In addition to a competitive base salary, you'll receive full benefits for you and your dependents, a 401k plan, and a generous PTO policy that increases with seniority. We care deeply about your professional growth and as such, provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skill for all new hires through Think's Academy.
