Job Description

Title: Sr Scrum MasterLocation: Linthicum, MD (hybrid)Working Hours: ESTType: Contract, 12+ months (with extensions)Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews/demos, and retrospectives.Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, prioritization, and maintaining a healthy product backlog.Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.Identify and remove impediments that impact delivery timelines or team effectiveness.Promote a collaborative, self-organizing team environment where members are empowered to succeed.Track and communicate team performance, progress, and potential risks to stakeholders.Support the team in adhering to Scrum theory, values, and rules.Assess team Agile maturity and implement strategies to advance performance.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution.Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3+ years as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification (preferred).Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and familiarity with Kanban, Lean, or SAFe.Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira or VersionOne.Excellent leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills.Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Important Note Regarding Third Parties and Staffing Agencies:BH Zion LLC will not be considering applications from third-party vendors or staffing agencies for this role. Please do not send unsolicited resumes, and we kindly ask that agencies refrain from reaching out.
