Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Team Leads at our Service Center Warehouses oversee the storing and handling of C.H.I. Overhead Doors products. They are expected to ensure that teammates follow procedures for loading & unloading trucks, as well as checking in, storing, and pulling materials. Team Leads are responsible for communicating status' of manifests to the customer service team, tracking paperwork, and ensuring customer pick up and delivery loads are complete and accurate. They are trained on every role at the Service Center and serve as mentors, champions of quality and safety initiatives, and overall leaders of their departments. In addition, they are responsible for communicating with and motivating their teammates, interviewing and selecting new teammates, recommending promotions and transfers, completing performance reviews and development plans for teammates, and disciplining or making recommendations for these actions.

Additional Functions

• Engage with and communicate to all teammates daily on individual and team objectives for the day, week, or extended period around Safety, Quality, Productivity, and other Company matters.
• Coach, train, and assess teammates to help develop their skill sets and enhance performance. Create develop plans to improve performance.
• Engage and communicate to customers in a polite and professional manner.
• Perform teammates duties as required to cover vacation and absenteeism. This can be a heavy-lifting position.
• Serve as the face of the Company for their teammates, fostering an environment of teamwork and inclusion.
• Reads production lists and performs work as assigned by production management.
• Leads the deployment of safety, quality, and operational objectives of the business.
• Performing the tasks and responsibilities of every position within their assigned line efficiently and effectively to standards.
• Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Compensation

$22.88/hour + Weekly Production Bonus Example: Hourly Base Rate = $22.88 Weekly Production Bonus = 45%. Total Hourly Rate = $33.18

Production Bonus

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year previous experience in general labor, customer service, or management

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years previous experience in general labor, customer service, or management
• Experience leading a team
• Warehouse experience, including fork lift operation & inventory management
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
